HELP US NAME THE HOMESTEAD....

"I have always wanted to have a home that had a name"

Every week I will post a new picture of the outside of the house and any names that are submitted during that week. We look forward to hearing your suggestions.
I want it to be something that is easy and comfortable to say - the property we live on is called "Hidden Springs" because when they dug the original well they only went down 40 feet as compared to a hundred plus feet and the water came gushing out of the ground.

LIST OF SUGGESTIONS FOR HOMESTEAD NAME:

  • MIZPAH - goes back thousands of years, symbolizing a sanctuary and place of hopeful anticipation, a place where seemingly impossible may happen as of divine intervention or an inspiration.
  • GLENN STEWART
  • BADENOCH ON THE ISLAND
  • ATHOLL ON THE ISLAND
  • WOODSIDE
  • HEARTLAND HOME/HOUSE or HERITAGE HOUSE
  • WOODLAND RETREAT
  • ISLAND DREAMS
  • NESTLING FIRS
  • GLEANN FIA (glen of the red deer)
  • ENNISMORE (great Island)
  • THE VALLEY NEST
  • DEER CROSSING
  • THE KC - "Kit & Caboodle"
  • CAIRISTIONA

  12. Kit n' Caboodle

    Caristonia

The Valley Nest - its on the right track, but not quite. How about Nestled Valley or just Valley Nest. Three words makes it too wordy!

mom i think the name has to either represent family or has to represent the beginning of the rest of yours and dads life together...obviously we are still a huge part of your guys life and i miss being close to you guys and living with you but i think it would be cool if the name of the house had something to do with just you two and your fresh start seeing as how the house represents u guys and everything you wanted i think the name should represent that as well it should be something that is you and dad and only you and dad...just a thought from your youngest :)

  17. Woodside or Woodlands sounds good, however, Woodlands is the name of the institution where they retreated people horribly back in the day. So I'm not sure thats a good choice or maybe I just associate too much.
